    PRESCRIPTION OPTIONS
    Single vision lenses are needed if you require correction for one field of vision, either distance or near vision (reading). Vint & York’s lenses consist of premium quality polycarbonate Rx lenses. Protective coatings such as high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating are included in all of our lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are strong and impact resistant, making them safe to wear.
    Bifocal lenses accommodate by correcting one's distance and near vision with one pair of lenses. The two fields of vision are typically separated by a line across the lens. Our Bi Focal lenses are available with many of our optical frames. We offer high index materials as well as a blended bi focal for those who prefer no sharp line. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings as well as high quality anti-scratch and anti reflective coatings.
    Vint & York offers Progressive Lenses that are available with many of our optical frames. Progressive lenses are a multifocal lens to help correct three fields of vision with no line separating. They correct distance, intermediate as well as reading vision in one lens. We offer Digital Progressive lenses as well as high index material progressive lenses. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings and high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating.
    LENS OPTIONS
    If you want to receive frames with no Rx, you have two options. Optical frames will include anti-reflective polycarbonate lenses when you choose the option “Add clear non-prescription lenses”. The option “I plan on replacing demo lenses” are recommended if your optician or doctor plans on replacing the lenses. Those lenses would be a demo lens or plastic.
    A light responsive lens can also be called photochromatic lenses. These lenses darken when exposed to UV light such as the sun. They are available in polycarbonate and high index materials. When exposed to UV light the lenses will darken to your choice of color either brown or grey.

    Quality frames and lots of compliments

    I’ve owned lots of different glasses over the years, these are hands down the most comfortable and my absolute favorite frames. They accommodate my strong prescription, they are light weight, yet sturdy, they don’t slide down my nose or feel like they are going to fall off my face when I look down and they are so comfortable, sometimes I forget I’m wearing them. I’ve received LOTS compliments on them, too. I’m thrilled with this purchase.

    Lovely Red and Leopard Colors!

    I originally had ordered several frames and had my local eye doctor do the lenses, but I decided to let Vint & York do the lenses despite this being a remote situation. The first lenses were extremely accurate, perhaps because I ordered the high index option. The second lenses were equally precise with the high index option, too. This second frame was the Ruby in the candy red which is a very saturated red more evident in person than online. These same frames have leopard temples which makes these eyeglasses a combination of two of my favorite colors together. My pic is a closeup to see the red color. Well done! I will be back for more in the future!

    An amazing selection of retro

    An amazing selection of retro looks. PLUS all the different colored frames. I love the bright colors. So happy not to have to choose, black, brown, tortoiseshell!
